Accessibility Information for Patrons with Disabilities During Elevate Chicago Dance

Elevate Chicago Dance is committed to ensuring that the festival is accessible to all. The festival offers Wheelchair Access, Audio Description, and American Sign Language Interpretation.

Wheelchair Access

Chicago Dancemakers Forum and the Elevate Chicago Dance team has taken great care in

selecting venues that are physically accessible.

Each location allows patrons with disabilities to access all areas of the audience experience. Some spaces are well equipped public theaters with accessibility plans and structures already in place. Other venues, such as Chicago Park District buildings, allow for accessible entry and equipped restrooms, but may require additional modifications. Please call Chicago Dancemakers Forum's Program Director, Shawn Lent at 312.550.9172 if there are any questions regarding wheelchair access during Elevate Chicago Dance.

The Chicago Cultural Center and Loyola Park offer wheelchair accessibility via elevator. Please note that the while the main performance space at Dfbrl8r is accessible, their basement is NOT. At the South Shore Cultural Center, the 7:30pm indoor performance space is fully accessible while the 6:30 outdoor performance by Kristina Isabelle Dance in the South Shore Nature Sanctuary is partially accessible. Links Hall is fully accessible with wheelchair seating in Row A. The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago offers wheelchair seating for both the Friday and Saturday performances; please request wheelchair seating when booking your tickets so that The Dance Center's Box Office (312.369.8330) can better serve you.

Accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

American Sign Language interpretation may be available for certain performances. Please specifically request seating for ASL interpretation by calling Program Director, Shawn Lent at 312.550.9172.

Accessibility for the Visually Impaired
