Baronica Roberson serves as the Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration at Chicago Public Library. She came to the Library with vast experience in and a strong commitment to public service. She has had the opportunity to serve in executive and management roles at the Chicago departments of Family and Support Services, Public Health, and Human Services, as well as the Office of Budget and Management. This experience has given her a deep appreciation for how government departments, in conjunction with nonprofits, seek to improve the quality of life for our city, one program at a time. Baronica is an alumni of Spelman College and the University of Illinois. In addition to serving on the board of the Chicago Dancemakers Forum she also serves as board member of the African American Legacy Fund of the Chicago Community Trust.
