The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has recently awarded a three-year grant to the Chicago Dancemakers Forum (CDF).  The $125,000 multi-year grant from the MacArthur Foundation is a tremendous initiative for CDF, recognizing the important and unique contributions CDF has made to the Chicago dance community since 2003. The MacArthur Foundation award provides support to develop and implement a broad and multi-faceted Future Strategies Plan, which will enable CDF to heighten the program's visibility, diversify its funding pool, and enhance creative development opportunities for dancemakers, and the Chicago dance community as a whole. The Future Strategies Plan will begin in early 2012 with strategic planning, and will then roll forward with implementation through 2014.
