Don't miss this one-night only special event with Pina Bausch's long time dramaturge, and magazine ballet-tanz 2008 'Dancer of the Year!' This just in! Links Hall, CDF and the Goethe Institut join forces to bring you Pina Bausch's long time dramaturge, Raimund Hoghe!! Links Hall and the Chicago Dancemakers Forum are pleased to host Body, Space, Music, a lecture / performance by the highly regarded German choreographer, performer, dramaturge and writer Raimund Hoghe. Hoghe's uncategorizable work is driven by Pier Paolo Pasolini's words "Throw your body into battle." Hoghe's physical limitations due to severe scoliosis, paired with his pristine and deceptively minimal choreography, reveal what the artist calls "the power and beauty of music and confrontation with one's own body." His choreographic work is known for energizing and destabilizing audiences as he questions our conceptions of abnormality. SAVE THE DATE! On Monday, September 14 from 6pm-8pm Hoghe, who served as the late Pina Bausch's dramaturge from 1980 to 1990, creates his own form of ritualized tanztheater, by turns meditative, funny, and electrifying - with readings, video and performance from his groundbreaking work, as well as lively discussion with the audience. Body, Space, Music is FREE, open to the public and will include a post-lecture reception with the artist at the Goethe-Institut Chicago , located at 150 N. Michigan Ave., Ste. 200 in Chicago, IL 60601. For more information please call Links Hall at 773.281.0824. More info about Raimund at http://www.raimundhoghe.com/ The CDF/Silverspace Salon series will continue in October and return to Silverspace studio for the rest of the fall.
